Nanban is seeing its grand release today!
The film is a Tamil remake of 2009 Bollywoodblockbuster ‘3 Idiots’. The title roles in Hindi were played by Aamir Khan, Madhavan and Sharman Joshi and these roles are reprised by Vijay, Jiivaand Srikanth in Tamil.
Ileana plays the female lead that Kareena Kapoor played in the original. Sathyaraj does the professor role that Boman Irani had in ‘3 Idiots’. Sathyan, S J Suryah and Anuya Bhagawat are cast in other prominent characters.
For the film’s music this is the second film that Harris Jayaraj is joining Shankar after ‘Anniyan’.
Manoj Paramahamsa has done the camera work and Anthony has taken care of the editing department.
Gemini Film Circuit has produced the film in a whopping budget of Rs.60 Crore.
The film is also be dubbed in Telugu with a title ‘3 Rascals’.
It is expected the film will be a huge hit of this year both for Vijay and for director Shankar!
