Director Shankar’s ‘Nanban’ is another much touted film that has been in the news for quite some time.
As Diwali is nearing and much has been discussed about the upcoming festival releases like Suriya’s Murugadoss directed ‘7aam Arivu’ and Vijay’s ‘Velayudham’ other films that are in the making are maintaining a low profile. But, ‘Nanban’ still could find places in big news columns. So, what is the latest at the film front?
When we quizzed director Shankar he said, “We have just completed the shooting part of the film. It is 100% over. Post-production work has started now. Right from the actors to the technicians in the film everyone gave their fullest cooperation in making the film the best. And, the film has really come well. I’m satisfied with what we have shot!” It was reported that the lead actress Ileana had some problems with the choreographer during the song shoot in the last schedule but the director denies and added, “Nothing happened it was all just rumours” Inside sources say that the film has come well far better than the Hindi original ‘3 Idiots’!
‘Nanban’ is a Tamil make of the Aamir Khan starrer above mentioned hit film. Vijay, Jiiva, Srikanth, Satyaraj, S J Surya and Ileana play the lead roles and Harris Jayaraj has scored the music. The film is expected to get released on Pongal day!
