Now, botox for Karwa Chauth!
Delhi: With the festive season on, women in the city are leaving no stone unturned to impress their better halves on the occasion of Karwa Chauth this year.
Rather than going for traditional ways like facial and mehendi, women are opting for new technologies such as botox, treatment for scars and marks.
"This year, women are getting various things done for their skin. During this month, we get large number of women coming to us to get a new look.
This year, we have introduced photo-rejuvenation, which used laser treatment for rejuvenation of the skin.
The newly introduced technique has become quite popular among women," said Dr Vandana Chatrath, dermatologist, Delhi Dermatologist Group.
No pain, no gain
"Women are coming to us for botox, laser hair reduction, fillers for lips and cheeks.
During the festive season, every woman wants to look her best, so to get a glow and improve their skin structure, they generally opt for these new methods.
They want quick fixtures," said Dr Simal Soin, medical director, Three Graces.
The cost of the treatment is around Rs. 20,000. According to doctors, women from the age group of 25 to 45 years are mostly seen coming for the therapy.
"The business is much better than last year. I am giving three to four botox treatments in a day," Dr Soin added.
Tamanna (29), recently married, said, "Though I got a facial done before my marriage, my skin still looked dull due to frown lines and other marks.
I went for botox for frown lines and microdermabrasion for post-acne scarring and marks. On my first Karwa Chauth, I wanted to look my best."
"This is the best gift I can offer my husband after six years of our marriage. I am presenting him the younger me and I am sure it will sweep him off his feet.
I am going for a lip augmentation," said Preeti Arora, a businesswoman in Defence Colony.
